Adriana Ayales is the herbalist, medicine maker, educator and founder at Anima Mundi, an apothecary composed of the most pristine, and medicinal botanicals found in nature. We are devoted to providing the freshest and most vibrant herbal formulas.

Originally from Costa Rica, Adriana started Anima Mundi in Brooklyn as a means to bring ancient remedies to the modern world.  She wanted to create a true farm to pharmacy experience through the art of medicine making with herbs.

Anima Mundi offers remedies and plants from the world, integrating several traditions Adriana has studied over the year, such as rainforest tribal styles, Ayurveda, Chinese-Daoist Medicine, and European style alchemy.  She believes that by preserving these ancient forms of indigenous botany, we keep alive a very sacred aspect to our source.

Anima Mundi contains over 200 different herbs, all sourced from places we admire and respect.  This provides a sustainable system, and a direct relationship to the source of botanical alchemy and native wisdom.  Anima Mundi supports true fair trade practices, permacultural outreach, supporting small businesses, and plant based remedies that benefit people from all walks of life.
